History

Maa Kanaka Durga Temple is one of the most prominent Shakti Peethas in india, located on the sacred indrakeeladri hill. The Temple has great significance in hindu scriptures and is associated with the legend of Maa Kanaka Durga slaying the demon mahishasura. The Temple is especially famous for the annual Dasara festival, where devotees from across the country gather to witness different forms of Maa Durga.
